I have hundreds of Capture One styles in my collection; it’s a perfect source of inspiration.
Most of the styles for Capture One are not universal by design. They might fantastically enhance some images, but wreak havoc with others. That’s why it’s kind of a tough task to pick favorite ones.
However, I have a special folder with styles I use the most:
So I was so pleased to discover Styles – Capture One’s instant looks. My friends at DVLOP have created a range of Styles for Capture One, as well as other renowned preset creators like Mastin Labs. Capture One also has a wide range of own styles made by some of the best photographers in the world. CAPTURE ONE - Emotive is the result of a passion for cinema and a relentless pursuit for that one consistent look. It has evolved with a balanced and dynamic style in mind that can be adapted across all lighting conditions throughout the wedding day.

The best thing is that lots of my favorite styles are available for free! You will find links for a free download below, but first, let’s figure out what is so special about these ten styles?
1. Kodak Ektachrome mid-1970s
This powerful simplicity of increased contrast and cold shadows fits most of my travel photographs. Sometimes an image requires just a slight touch of this effect and setting opacity to 30-40% works perfectly in this case.
2. Teal
Teal is this rare type of style which fits portraits as excellently as street photography images.
3. Kodak Portra 400 UC
A film based style which works surprisingly well with entirely different images. This style has several variations, so you can find the one that best fits your vision of the development of this film.
Get all the versions of this style in the Film Styles Bundle or in the Film and Portrait Styles Bundle.
4. PX 100 Silver Shade
This style is always my first choice for B&W landscapes. In a single click, it creates a magical atmosphere on the image. Love it!
B&W tool in Capture One doesn’t support layers, but this style has four variations with different impact strengths, so you can find the right one for your image.
5. Clear and Simple
The name of the style perfectly describes why I have put it on the favorite list. Clear and Simple style works excellently for many of my portrait images and landscapes.
Get this style in the Portrait Styles Set or in the Film and Portrait Styles Bundle.
6. Ilford Delta 100
This is my favorite B&W style when I need a robust B&W look. Works like a charm!
I have several versions of this style in my collection, and I use all them regularly.
Get all the versions of this style in the Film Styles Bundle or in the Film and Portrait Styles Bundle.
7. Kodak Royal Gold 400 T-balanced
A pretty unusual style, though one of my favorites. The style has a powerful impact on your image and sometimes it is the magic you’ve been looking for. Though, I recommend you to try it with some moderate opacities as well.
8. Space Cadet
Space Cadet creates a stylish look of faded color. That’s why it fits images of almost any type when you need such an atmosphere.
Get this style in the Portrait Styles Set or in the Film and Portrait Styles Bundle.
9. Backwater Woods
A truly unique style. It develops a specific feeling of viscosity and serenity. It works terrifically when you need such a look.
10. Crystal
I love the fresh and clear look that this style creates. Crystal style works quite gently, so it’s more suitable for portraits. However, it might fit some travel and street photographs pretty well.
